Key Success Factors
Key Success Factors have driven the development of CAPCIS and underpin its industry reputation and acknowledged credibility:
People
CAPCIS has developed from its academic origins into a broad resource base which integrates knowledge and expertise of corrosion control and materials, specialist testing, project management; operational experience and an appreciation of current technology. Our strength is in the individual expertise of our staff and consultants and the application of this collective knowledge to meet current industry challenges.
CAPCIS has a strong staff based culture resulting in very low levels of staff turnover and high levels of knowledge retention against industry norms. Our internal capability is augmented by expertise from Academia and Industry.

Fundamental Understanding and Specialist Testing
CAPCIS' reputation is built on the fundamental science defining material behaviour within its operating environment. The ability to integrate this knowledge with specialist testing facilities, to verify operational performance and test the boundaries of integrity differentiates CAPCIS from its competitors, and provides a repository of resource expertise to clients where their own internal capabilities have declined significantly in recent years.

Approach
Corrosion or material behaviour is an uncertain science, particularly where operating environments push the boundaries of current experience. Our approach is common to all projects; driven by the development and application of knowledge focused on reducing uncertainty, risk and conservatism to improve client confidence and enable robust decision making to improve operational performance, maintain asset integrity and justify future investment.

Independence
CAPCIS' independence is paramount to all its work given its continuous role in providing independent advice, specialist testing as part of material qualification or chemical selection, and its role within the Legal and Insurance sector.
