Integrity Management Documentation for a New Offshore Gas Facility
CAPCIS have provided a new gas production company in the middle east with a comprehensive inspection and corrosion management policy for their new offshore facilities, this included a manual for risk based corrosion management, inspection procedures and also several high level technical reports regarding corrosion issues specific to this operator.
The facilities included two nominally unmanned offshore platforms, three subsea pipelines and 2 umbilicals.
The general intent of the policy was to align with the HSE corrosion management guideline document written by CAPCIS1. The policy laid out the roles and responsibilities (tailored to the client organisation) and the processes through which corrosion management could be best achieved.
A initial risk assessment and inspection plan was produced for all static items using the CAPCIS Coram / WSE system. This enabled appropriate prioritisation of inspection budget for vessels and corrosion circuits. Following risk assessment all items and circuits had inspection test plans / written schemes of examination (WSE) developed to enable scheduling and understanding of inspection requirements from the outset.
In summary, CAPCIS provided the client with an initial Corrosion Management platform from which to move forward with and develop as knowledge of the system is attained through commissioning and operation.
