Refining and Petrochemical – The downstream sector is often characterised by very complex and inter-related materials, corrosion and environmental issues that need specialist expertise from a variety of disciplines. Typical activities include Corrosion and Materials Consultancy, Failure Investigations, Design and Supply of Corrosion Monitoring Systems, development of Written Schemes of Examination, review of Corrosion and Integrity Management practices and the Secondment of personnel.

Transportation – CAPCIS has for many years worked in all fields of transport from bicycles right through to aircraft. We offer a comprehensive range of services across an unrivalled range of specialisations. Typical areas of specialisation include Materials Consultancy, Metal Processing and Fabrication Techniques, Material Treatments and Coating Systems, Structural Engineering, Inspection and NDT Services, Non Metallics and Polymers, and Failure Investigations.

Civil and Construction – CAPCIS has developed its role in the Civil and Construction sector significantly in the last five years working in partnership, or as a subcontractor, on some of the worlds major construction projects from the construction of new docks in the Middle East to the building of civil infrastructure such as the Oresund Tunnel. CAPCIS' role changes depending upon client requirements, varying from independent auditor to specialist materials consultant, from CP designer to Monitoring System supplier.

In addition, CAPCIS provides a range of services to the Power Generation, Marine, Pipeline Transportation and General Industry sectors covering Materials Consultancy, Specialist Testing and Failure Investigations services.
